Don’t Ask Permisison
Oftentimes when we want to pursue our goals we check with others what they think about it.
What good does that do?
There are two possible outcomes:
One, they are supportive because they are nice people and we made a good decision about having them in our circle of friends.
Two, they don’t understand and try to talk us out of it because what we want to do doesn’t fit into their world view.
Let’s look at the first outcome: does that change your plans or decisions about going ahead? Does it change how you feel about how you feel about your plans?
And the second outcome. Does that change anything? Do you reconsider?
In the end, the only person you are accountable to is you.
So stop asking for permission and do your thing.
How to learn to trust your decisions?
