The Smiling Idiot
Put a smile on your face, even if you don’t feel like it.
Especially when you don’t feel like it. By doing this, you will tell the body that everything is okay, and it will respond accordingly.
Now, at this point many people say, “so, you want me to run around like a smiling idiot even if people are mean to me?”
Well, first of all, I don’t want you to do anything. The only person you’re going to be with your whole life is you.
If you learn to put a smile for yourself ALTHOUGH you get negative energy from other people, then you control your emotional reaction. And that makes you emotionally independent from them.
And no, you don’t have to smile AT them necessarily. A smile can also be an internal smile sometimes, just feel good about yourself although others are trying to put you down.
Give it a chance. And then make it a habit.
How learn to make smiling a habit?
