Trapped By Emotions?

Ever had the experience that you were in the middle of a situation with rage or frustration, but later, when the negative emotion subsided you saw that situation very different in hindsight?

Fights with your significant other often are like that.

Emotions cloud your view on how things really are. It’s only when you take the emotion out of the equation that you see what’s really going on.

The thing with emotions is that they may or may not have something to do with the truth.

If you learn to not react to your emotions all the time, many things will be much clearer to you. About other people, but above all about yourself.

“But I don’t want to become a robot”, many say at this point.

You don’t have to.

The real question is: are you in control of your emotions or are your emotions in control of you?

They only control you if you let them.
