You Can Always Tell The Winners At The Starting Gate

There is this scene in “Once Upon A Time In America” where the Robert deNiro Character says this about the love of his life:

“You can always tell the winners at the starting gate.”

…meaning that the woman has become a total success in his eyes.

There are many “starting gate” moments in our life. When we start a new project, when we take part in learning something new in a course maybe…

But most important of them all in my opinion is when we wake up in the morning.

How do you start your day?

What mood do you set in the morning that will accompany you throughout the day?

If you start your day with positive feelings, it will be much easier, happier and more creative.

Also, when you sit down you write, what do you say to yourself? What is your mood? Be intentional about it. If you don’t know what to do to trigger “positive thoughts”, just take a moment and be grateful.

Be grateful that you can take this moment to you, to do what you chose to do. There are many people who can’t say that about themselves.
